It’s official: The deadline for the Bank of America Student Voices Essay Contest was June 22nd and our judges are in deep, editing the more than 4,000 essays we received.
There are some great entries, but we also noticed some frequent mistakes students make that can instantly disqualify you from an essay contest.

The Campus Discovery Scholarship is available to current college students as well as those who have graduated in 2008 or 2009. You must complete a survey and submit an original response to the question: “Assume you could go back in time and talk to yourself as a high school senior. Knowing what you know now about college life and making the transition, what advice would you give yourself?” You must also be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this award.

The Morality of Profit Global Competition, $20,000

The Morality of Profit Global Competition is available to students with an interest in the topic of the morality of profit. Students must submit an essay of no more than 3,000 words that discusses this topic and the questions surrounding it; that elevate the discussion; and that illuminate inflection points in the broader debate by exploring how this tension informs the key issues of our time. (e.g. understanding the economic crisis, solving global poverty, stimulating entrepreneurship in poor countries, the environment, etc.)
